About Kaitlin Tierney
Kaitlin Tierney was born in Clarksville, Tennessee but moved frequently throughout the US as her father served in the army. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Arizona State University and has a Level II Coaching certification from USRowing. While competing on Arizona State’s rowing team she was brought on to the Tempe Junior Crew program as the novice coach where she discovered her passion for working with middle and high school athletes. During her time with various rowing programs, including the Hewitt School, Arizona State, and the Vanderbilt women, she developed a coaching philosophy that focused on differentiated instruction and helping athletes manage the demanding time requirements of rowing. She is excited to continue working with student-athletes and guiding them on their paths to success.
