The goal of both the OHL Cup and WSI Domestic Tour Team offerings is to provide high-level, Tier I ‘AAA’ hockey players a short-term development experience unlike any other, one where the opportunity to be scouted and potentially advance in the sport is a byproduct of:
Incorporating an appropriate level of team structure, so that the group is organized when the puck drops, and players are better able to showcase their individual skill sets.
Delivering clear expectations, both logistically and tactically, so players are well-prepared at all times.
Creating synergy, so that the group gains the look and feel of a “team” as quickly as possible… a team that is hard for opponents to play against and fun for scouts and evaluators to watch.
TPH is consistently one of two select U.S.-based entries invited to the OHL Cup each year. The provincial playdowns for all of Ontario, the OHL Cup is a highly competitive, heavily scouted event that features the champions and finalists from minor hockey associations in Ontario. With over 200 scouts in attendance from the OHL, USHL and NCAA Division I levels, the event spans over six days and takes place at the Scotiabank Pond in Toronto, Ontario in late March.
