TPH-Colorado Announces Player Development Team for 19-20

Total Package Hockey is pleased to unveil the first few names of its TPH-Colorado player development staff for the 2019-2020 school year.  The following four individuals will join TPH-Colorado Director of Hockey-Operations Jordan Pietrus in mentoring student-athletes at its Center of Excellence starting in August.

TPH-Colorado

  • 4x state champion with Araphoe HS
  • Played AAA for both the Colorado Thunderbirds and Colorado Rampage ‘AAA’ organizations
  • 2x Clarke Cup champion with the Green Bay Gamblers - USHL
  • Four year collegiate career at Denver University including NCHC champion in 2013-2014
  • Professional career in ECHL (Quad City Mallards and Florida Everblades)
  • Assistant coach Green Bay Gamblers - USHL

Player Development Coach / Mentor Jan Hejda

Player Development Coach / Mentor Jan Hejda

TPH-Colorado

  • Selected in the 4th round by the Buffalo Sabres in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
  • Played over 600 games in the NHL with Edmonton, Columbus and Colorado. 
  • Suited up for his native Czech Republic in the World Championships on seven occasions and donned his country’s colors at the 2010 Olympics. 
  • He and his wife Tereza and two children have made Colorado home since his retirement from the pro game in 2016. 
  • Currently coaches in the Thunderbirds organization.

  • Native of Toronto, ON where he played youth hockey and junior hockey.
  • Played 4 seasons at Elmira College
  • After graduating, he embarked on a 12 year playing career with stops in the AHL, ECHL, Central Hockey League and Europe. 
  • Spent 6 years coaching at the professional level in the Central Hockey League and SPHL.
  • Currently the Assistant General Manager of Family Sports Center and the Director of Travel Hockey for the Arapahoe Warriors program.

TPH-Colorado

  • Littleton, CO native who manned the pipes in the Colorado Rampage program before going on to play two seasons in the NAHL and USHL with Bismarck and Fargo. 
  • Played 4 seasons at the University of Nebraska-Omaha. 
  • Went on to play two seasons in the Toronto Maple Leafs organization with the Orlando Solar Bears of the ECHL. 
  • Co-founder of Elite Edge Athlete.
I am ecstatic to involve such a great group of passionate, established hockey men in our TPH-Colorado Center of Excellence,” Jordan Pietrus said.  “All four gentlemen bring a wealth of experience the table.  Whether it be perspective from growing up and playing in the Colorado hockey market, using hockey as a vehicle to advance to the highest of levels or coaching professionally for a living, all of these individuals have great perspective and tons of knowledge to pass on to our student-athletes about hockey and life.
