Dwayne has been teaching power skating for over 15 years, from first time skaters to NHL players he has helped players improve their most important hockey skill "SKATING". 


NEW!!  TPH Power Skating and Puck Skills In-Season Program
This Program runs every 2nd week at the London Ice Park (October 20-March 23)

LOOKING TO IMPROVE THROUGHOUT THE SEASON?
This 40 minute session is perfect for players looking to continue to improve their skating and puck skills during the season. Sessions will consist of Power Skating, breaking down all skating skills allowing players to understand and apply different skating techniques and skills. First 3 step quickness, quick stops/starts, transition turns, X-overs for speed, edges, balance and overall speed with and without a puck will challenge players during the power skating portion. Puck skills will also be a part of every session, players will work on puck control, deking, passing along with a variety of shooting techniques, shooting in motion, shooting in traffic and much more. These sessions will allow players to work on specific skills that are hard to cover in regular team practices

Post-Season Power Skating/Skills (4-15 years)
Offered: April 8 – June 10 (10 sessions)
This 10 week program has been designed to allow players to continue developing following their hockey season. Each session begins with power skating skills, these skills will be broken down and taught using proper technique in order for players to increase skating efficiency and overall speed. Emphasis will be on quick starts, pivoting, crossing over forward and backward, shooting, passing, puck control and stick handling.

Pre-Season Power Skating (4-15 years)
Offered: August 17-29, September 1-12 (2 week programs)
The main goal of this program is to teach players proper skating technique and efficiency in order increase power and overall speed. Players will be taught proper body position and skating technique during; edge control, balance/agility drills, forward/backward skating, pivoting, transition turns, cross overs, quick stops/starts, first 3 step quickness, glide/tight turns, lateral movements and much more. Our knowledgeable and experienced staff will break down skating techniques through small group instruction and allow players to apply their skills during fun and challenging drills. All players will be tested on the first and last night of the program in order to monitor improvement over the 10 sessions.

Private Sessions
Can focus on any combination of skills desired. Most sessions focus on Power Skating, teaching skating technique, stride efficiency, first 3 step quickness, explossive stops and starts, edge control, pivoting, transitions. Sessions are normally followed by puck skills and shooting incorporating the power skating skills covered earlier in the session..

Semi-Private Sessions
These sessions can also be a combination of different skills. Sessions are normally Power Skating based followed by puck skills and shooting incorporating power skating skills covered earlier in the session.

Team Sessions
Coaches can book Dwayne Blais for specialty team practices focusing on a variety of skills
